Restoration of the park part around the Petřín lookout tower
As part of the construction of the Rehabilitation of the Petřín Lookout Tower, new pedestrian promenades and areas of granite sections were created on an area of 2,000 m2 and new walkable grassy areas with an area of 2,800 m2. The drainage of the entire area, including the existing buildings of the Maze, the church and the lookout tower, was newly solved. Furthermore, the alleys of ornamental trees were restored in the number of 30 new linden trees and horse chestnut trees, planted with the receiving historical tree lines, and new plantings of ornamental shrubs were added on the site. The threshing floor below the lookout tower was restored, complete with a residential staircase and a drinking fountain, intended for organizing cultural events. The project is prepared by the Department of Environmental Protection of the City of Prague.
